Our Travels | Kayla Goes To Turks

What can I say? Everyone wants to go to Turks & Caicos.

It is an influencer paradise, home of one of the best beaches in the world and of course, it is STUNNING! My family and I had the privilege of going to Turks & Caicos for my son’s first birthday this year, and let me just say, it was worth every penny. And, yes…it is a pretty penny, but you get what you pay for and in this case, you get A LOT!

We stayed at Beaches Turks and Caicos, and it is the largest, most incredible all-inclusive resort on the entire island. When we toured it, we were told that over 50% of the foot traffic that comes through the Turks airport goes to Beaches Turks and Caicos. And, why not? It has over 24 dining options, is located on the best stretch of Beach and the amenities will blow you out of the water.

We started our trip with private transportation to the property. The resort comes with a shared transportation built into the price, but there is just something about your own personalized air conditioning, so we paid a little extra to add this. As I mentioned, we were traveling with my one year old son, and they were able to supply a car seat, free of charge. Once we arrived at the property, we were greeted with cool towels scented with lemongrass, and a rum punch. I am pregnant…again…so I of course told them to hold the rum. However, I am pretty sure my husband drank enough rum for both of us (LOL).

We were escorted to our beautiful room, which was located in the Italian village. At Beaches Turks, all of the villages have a theme that corresponds with the name of the village; for instance, the Caribbean village has a Caribbean vibe, the Italian village is decorated like a Tuscan villa, the French village is very Parisian, and the Key West Village looks like you just stepped foot in the Florida Keys. Our location of the room was perfect, as the Italian village is very centrally located, and it is by what they call the “fun” pool. They had foam parties, DJs, water aerobics and so much more coming from the pool every single day.

To begin our vacation, we started with some fish and chips at the pub, then followed it with a stroll around the property. We then attended the daily 6:30PM show hosted by the Sesame Street characters, which my son absolutely loved and we made a tradition every night. Following the show, we went to dinner, and ordered multiple appetizers, entrees and of course, each and every dessert. It is so funny how many people will go to an all-inclusive and not utilize their freedom of ordering anything they want. It is the PERFECT time to try new food, eat until you feel like you need to be rolled back to the room, or better yet, just completely enjoy the five-star cuisine.

Over the days of our vacation, we did SO much! We went to the beach, we went to the Italian pool, the Key West pool, the grotto pool in the Caribbean village, the French village pool and even went on a night swim in one of the adult-only pools. We walked along the beach and floated in the water for hours. We went to over 15 restaurants and had everything from sushi to pizza, and my personal favorite: the mac and cheese at the Mr. Mac’s food truck! Yum!! We attended daily entertainment shows during the day and at night. We also rode the complimentary train that goes between villages for kids…but adults can ride too! Lastly, we experienced the Sesame Street parade that was so incredible. It was extremely entertaining with live music, dancers, the characters and more!

But guess what? We were there an entire week, and didn’t get to experience half of what this property offers. For instance, you can do a complimentary glass bottom boat ride, or a catamaran cruise for club members. You can do a Sesame Street character breakfast or a nightly tuck-in for an additional fee. OH! And did I mention the FREE kid’s camp?!? In addition to a kid’s camp, there is also a nanny service for one-on-one care and even overnight care! All of the kid’s camp employees are INA (International Nanny Association) and Autism certified. I don’t trust anyone with my child (because I stay at home and we just haven’t hit that milestone yet), but I did let him experience the camp and he LOVED it!

So, we have talked about the food, the kid’s camp, the beach, the pools…but guess what? There is also a 45,000 sq. foot water park with a surf simulator and lazy river that kids and adults can enjoy. And, the adults aren’t the only ones that can experience the swim-up bars. The kids have swim-up soda bars in the waterpark! How cool?!? But it doesn’t stop there. There is a teen zone, a nightclub and so much more! And lastly, we have to mention the incredible staff. They are the heartbeat of the property, and truly make the amazing amenities even more wonderful. We were so impressed with the service and attention to detail the staff dedicated to the property, guests and even the grounds.

Overall—it was the trip of a lifetime for us, and we can’t wait to take our growing family back. I have personally traveled all over the globe, and I would put Beaches Turks and Caicos up there with the BEST resorts in the world. It isn’t just a place for families though, it is truly a resort for everyone. This resort is for friends, weddings, families, multi-generational vacations, couples, honeymooners, etc. There is something for everyone, but the best part…will always be the powder white sand, crystal blue water and the palm trees swaying in the breeze. If you want the trip of a lifetime, then you need to try out this resort! Beaches Turks & Caicos is truly unforgettable.
