Wanting to keep things intimate and stress-free Rachel and Vince turned to 2 Travel Anywhere to help them plan a wedding in paradise. Their closest friends and family traveled to the Jamaican resort for their big day which included a ceremony over the water, an outdoor reception on the terrace; all surrounded by the most gorgeous scenery. Tell us all about your wedding!
Rachel: My husband and I decided to get married in an intimate ceremony in Ochos Rios, Jamaica. 🙂 We had a small group of some of our closest family and friends coming with us so we wanted it to be easy to travel to but lots of entertainment options and Sandals Ochi did NOT disappoint! I had a specific vision for our wedding and the Sandals team really did make it come to life. We brought our photographer mostly due to wanting a certain style of photography that I knew wasn’t offered at Sandals. We decided last minute onsite to have the ceremony at the over the water chapel and HOLY MOLY I’m so glad we did! It was BEYOND gorgeous!! For our reception, we went with a family style dinner in the reef terrace where we were surrounded with tropical flowers and a beautiful Jamaican sunset. We picked out our menu prior to our arrival the food for our wedding was probably some of the best food we’ve ever had. Afterwards, we went back and changed and had such a fun night of dancing with our crew at the Speakeasy! So many sweet and beautiful and fun memories made! We wouldn’t have done it any differently. 🙂
What made you decide to get married at Sandals Ochi?
Rachel: We wanted it to be intimate and we wanted to be somewhere romantic and tropical but fun! Ochi offered the most entertainment and was reasonably affordable for our guests compared to some of the other islands. The scenery was BEAUTIFUL and the food was delicious! Jamaica at the time was the easiest to travel to during the pandemic prior to the vaccine being available.
